SOL 8 is not replying.

Hi Everyone,
I've installed a brend new sol 8 and i'm trying
to reach this machine from other network segment (which is routable) but there is no answer from the sol.

after using a snoop on the sol machine i've notice that my connections are being captured in the "snoop from x.x.x.x"
command.

my quest is why the solaris won't replay to my requests from another segments and how can i fix it to reply?

BTW - in the files "/etc/hosts.equiv" and "/.rhosts" i've put a "+" sign but it didn't helped.

any help will be highly appreciated.

@moonlight,

does your Sol8 host have more than one interface? can I see the netconfig and routingtable (ifconfig -a; netstat -rn)?

check the route from your Sol8 host to yours by typing
route get yourhostnameorip
is the interface the one you expected?
