Hello Everyone,

I am a new network administrator, and I was wondering if anyone can give me the default loging for the router. We can't contact the old administrator to get the password and I am hoping that he use's the default password. Thank you for any help or ideas that you may have to go around the problem.

I Don,t think that by default that the fb has a user name or password (may be wrong but the soho certainly dos not have one) if it is the same principle as the soho then you could try setting it back to factory defaults, although make sure that you have all the relavent information for setting up the firebox again first. To reset to factory defaults (if its the same as the soho models) disconnect the power, disconnect all cables, plug an ehernet cable into the wan port and the other end of the cable into any lan port on the fb, now connect the power and wait approx 2 minutes and then disconnect the power again, the unit should now be set to factory defaults. The ip address of the unit should be 192.168.111.1 so set a station up to obtain its ip address thru` dhcp and you should now be able to get into it.

Hope that this is ok, i have seen 1 or 2 of this version of firewall and it looks more or less the same as the soho so this should work.

I was able to contact the administrator and get the correct name and password. Now that I know what the password is, I dont' think I would ever guessed.

Thank you for take the time to provide me with some help. It was really helpful since I had no documetation when I started. In addition according to this list however there is a default password setup for the soho.
