I have the SOHO 6tc V6.1.43 configured to allow access to 5 users through the VPN. All clients are running W2K and MUVPN V6.1 Four of them seem to be connecting well with little trouble. I am trying to setup the last one on a laptop which previously had a different user and shared key set up. I changed the username and shared key both on the SOHO and the MUVPN software, but now all I get is a key in the icon, but no communication. The log shows that the VPN is connected (key displayed), but I can not ping from one side to the other; much less map a share. It does not matter which side I try to ping from; it comes back "Request timed out." The last two computers I set up did this but they seemed to work after a few days. Watchguard was completely stumped and blamed it on Time Warner. Time Warner guaranteed me that they have an “open pipe” are not blocking anything and said it is a problem with the VPN hardware. Suggestions?

UPDATE

I imported a previously created .spd file for a different user. Everything instantly started working. I can map drives and connect to everything I need. The problem is that this user is configured on a different remote computer, so I changed the username and passphrase on this laptop. It matches exactly with the configuration on the SOHO 6tc box for the newly created account, but again, it will not work. I see the connection as connected and shows a key on the laptop. I also see it logged as connected on the SOHO, but I can not ping the laptop from inside the newtork or a known good IP inside the network from the laptop. I can ping the external IP of the SOHO from the remote user, but not it's internal IP. Any help is much appreciated as I am ready to pull my hair out on this one!
