Has anyone heard of the Software602 Lan Suite? If so, I would appreciate any feedback you may have in terms of pros/cons.

Provide some more info on the product next time.
For those wondering it looks like an SMTP/POP3 server with a lot of built-in features including AV_plugin/SSL/Spam_Protection.
Its also has a packet filter of sorts on there (termed IP filter). Based on the screen shot of the "ip filter" it doesn't look like you can create rules based on port src/dest. It says "advanced config" is available, but no docs on it. That alone turns me off to this product. It doesn't sound very nice.
If you're just looking to use the proxy/smtp/pop3 features, then by all means go ahead. If you want to use it as a firewall, then.....get ready to rebuild a compromised machine.
Without trying it, I'd have to say....I wouldn't even bother. The "firewall" part of the suite seems to be lacking quite a bit.
Advice.... If you do use it, get another firewall to put in front of it.
