Hi,
We have an Option 11 for which we are trying to determine if we have the DSN version of Release 3. Can anyone point us into the right direction on how to determine? Below is the ISS output from LD22. Thanks, Doug

VERSION 2121
RELEASE 3
ISSUE 00 +

It stands for Defense Switched Network. I've never heard of it either. The only reason I'm concerned about it is that support for 'Release 3 DSN' ended in 2012. But support for 'Release 3' ends in 2015.

If you are not part of the US Government, you will not have DSN.

I think there is another way to prove it: If you go to LD 22 ; REQ PRT ; TYPE PKG

If you see PKG 68, ATVN - that is also a Military Only feature. If you have that, you might also be DSN

I just ran the PKG command and it doesn't appear that it's DSN, as I don't see PKG 68, ATVN listed. Thank you GHTROUT!

My next question is, does anyone know if VERSION 2121, RELEASE 3 (non-DSN) on an Option 11C EOL?

If you have access to the Avaya KRS and put in your serial # it may tell you more.

Release 3.0 is very, very old. Last I knew Avaya only supported 2 releases back. Currently we are on 7.6. You missed 4.0,4.5,5.0,5.5.,6.0, 7.0, and 7.5.

All software below release 6.0 will be e.o.l next year 2015 4.50 and below will be in july 2015 and 5.0 and 5.50 in november. Release 6.0 will be e.o.l or e.o.s.s november 2016.

I would make sure you have a copy of release 3.0 software and the keycodes and any deplists that are still available handy if you need them to restore the system in the future.

check with your provider. DSN software is a little different since it is the govt. that is the customer. You may be able to get your system to DSN level, but you will most likely have to upgrade.

they have made execeptions to this, and I believe that Avaya Professional Services - Govt. Division is spinning off or being sold to another company that does a lot of support for the Govt.
