Software updates stored at root of C drive?

When I create software update packages by right-clicking "Software Updates/All Tasks/Distribute Software Updates" it places the package files at the root of the server's C drive in individual folders named after the package. Is there a way to change this default location for update packages created this way? The C drive is going to be a mess pretty quickly this way.
