Hey guys, I'm not having a hard-drive issue exacly, but I'm a bit concerend about temperature. I have three case, but none in front to cool the hard-drives. They are all located either center or rear.

I have my hard-drives spaced with one bay in between them, but no fan. Would a typical fan there in front cool them off a fair amount?

To give an idea, I have an Aspire Dreamer II case, a fan in TOP center, a fan in the TOP REAR left side then a fan in the BOTTOM REAR. If anybody has any tips or knows of any software recommendations for testing my hard-drive or PSU temps, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance guys.

There is a program called speedfan which attempts to control fan speeds. It also reports temperatures if the PC is equipped to measure them.

Well, one drive is running at 44 degrees C, the other at 40 degrees C. I suppose that's fine, but wow they're hot to the touch after running. I suppose because of the solid metal they're surrounded by and that it retains the heat so well. If anybody has any tips or facts to throw at me for hard-drive temps, I'd appreciate it. Otherwise, you guys helped me enough. I chose to download HDD Health.

You could cool them a little with a fan, but I think 44 and 40 degrees is not a reason for concern.

Well, my lowest drive in the case is only a few inches from the bottom and that one read as high as 46 degrees C, and the program indicated that 46 is quite bad. I moved the only fan from the back of my case to the front and it seems to have cooled it 10 degrees C! I have a fan exiting out the top for my processor, I hope that's enough to keep the rest cool until I get another fan.
