How to create a software raid on Redhat 7.3?

I have two identical HDs attached at hda and hdc respectively. I want to install a redhat 7.3 linux for mail and ftp server and want to make a RAID 1 on these two HDs. How can I do that? Can GRUB detect the software raid at boot time?

Thanks.

inetd-

go try this

I did the same thing with a raid1, it is very easy and fun to do. Keep in mind your kernel may or may not support raid, if not you might have to recompile.

As far as booting off of a raid, I asked the same question a while ago. Do a search back for "software raid root".

I believe it is possible, people had real good suggestions but I didn't get to try them (I found a raid card before I got that far).
