I have a customer that has 2 BCM400s (V4.0) networked over a PtP T1 using SIP trunks. There already have extension to extension dialing and each BCM hosts it's own voicemail. Thay want to be able to use a single voicemail box on either system to be able to take messages from extensions on either system. In other words they have a extension and MB on siteA and be able to put in a SiteB extension in the alternate ext field on the MB on SiteA. Is this as easy as just adding the VPIM software?

Yea.. I think you should be able to do that. Do you have the MCDN keycode? On System B, make sure you have programmed using Element Manager for the target lines assigned to the set that the VMsg Set is checked. Also, make sure you set the CFNA on the set at System B to the voicemail DN of System A. This should forward any unanswered calls to the voice mailbox. In the mailbox programming at System A, enter the extension number for the extension at System B.

That is how the lamp is lit showing voicemails on a remote voicemail.

Thanks for the reponse and all the helpful info. I will check on the MCDN keycode. I assume it will be needed to accomplish what I'm looking to do?
