I have been having hard drives fall like flies. All are the same make and model and rolled off the line at the same time. 2 have physically failed and 3 have been very corrupted.
SO corrupt that you can't slave them and get the data off of them. My XP or 2000 Pro. machine says the drive hasn't been formatted.
I used a data recovery software to get by the bad sectors on the front of the drive and get my data off. But I will have to format. There is no repairing this thing.
How in the world is it happening though? We have had problems with our software and it seems to always happen after running this software. Is there anyway I can tell if my software is crashing these drives or not?
