Can someone please explain to me how the software licensing works for Citrix? I have a user here that needs Adobe Acobat installed on Citrix for her to use and I was wondering if there are other users that will have access to this or not? I only want her to be able to use it...can't I lock down the software so only she can use it or will everyone with a Citrix ID be able to access it?

Thanks

Yes, you can. First, you need to log on locally to the Citrix server AS THAT USER. You may need to grant that user ID temporary admin rights locally on the server to do the install. Use the "Add/Remove Programs" in Control Panel to launch the setup. The system will ask (can't remember the exact wording) if you want "All users with common settings" or "Install for this user only" which is obviously the option you want. Let the install proceed as usual.

If there is an "Install" app compatibility script for Adobe (I can't remember), then you need to run it, still logged on as that user.

Click "Finish" from the "Add/Remove" dialog box, retract any additional rights you had to give the user account, test it AS THAT USER, and you're done. The application should show up only on that user's desktop.

Hope this helps :) - Bill
