Software Inventory

Hi,

I am new to SMS, and would just like to find out how to view the Software Inventory information collected. I have the clients installed, and I can view the software for each client in the Resource Explorer, but is it possible to view a list of all software installed on all clients ?

Any help would be great.

Try downloading the SMS FeaturePack and then install WebReporting.

I have installed the feature pack, but when I try to run a report, I get the following error :

[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified [-2147467259]

Any ideas ?

you need to have iis installed on the server and an specified sql-sa account....

IIS is already installed. Where do I need to specify the sql-sa account ?

well, you need to specify it when installing webreports for sms.... do you know what kind of security you are using in sms/sql ?

SQL Authentication - SQL and Windows. I'm not sure what SMS is using.


I'm uninstalling webreports now. I will try re-installing it and see what happens.
