I am looking for software, free or not, though I prefer free, that will compare changes in a system. Example, say I run it today, it will make a logfile of sorts or something of the nature of exactly how the system is right then. Now say I run it a week from now after installing some programs. Then it shows me all the changes that have been made. Files, Registry, etc..

If you can give me a list of a few things I would be very grateful. Thanks

Thanks! I will give that one a try as well.

Thanks! Added both of those to my favorites to look into more later. So far Track Winstall seems to be doing exactly what I wanted. Got lucky on a search and found that. The others I have uses for as well, just had not went looking for those yet.

I don't believe Reg Shot monitors file changes. For that, you may want to try:

What Changed v 1.07

SystemSherlock Lite v1.00

FYI - SystemSherlock isn't being updated anymore and may not work correctly in Vista or Win7

The first one you mentioned looks exactly like what I was talking about. Will test that one definitely next to the one I found. Thanks!
