I have a Cisco 1751-V that is giving me a Software Emulation Exception and locks up during boot. The problem usually occurs as soon as I turn the unit on. But sometimes after a few power cycles it boots up fine but eventually I always get that Software Emulation Exception.
This is what I get thru the console:
System Bootstrap, Version 12.2(1r)XE1, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
TAC Support: Copyright (c) 2001 by cisco Systems, Inc.
*** Software Emulation Exception ***
PC = 0xfff65450, Vector = 0x1000, SP = 0xff002528
This is not an IOS problem because I have since erased the flash. Right now I have no IOS and I still get that error.
