Hi,

I am testing the installation of a package. It consists of a single exe been copied over an existing one. I have used the sms installer 32 to create the package as I have done in the past with sms 2.0 and it worked every time.

I have now upgraded to sms 2003 I recreated the package using the newest version of the smsinstaller I could find (the one that comes with the command line utility)

The advertisement runs fine on the test PC's (advanced client) but it runs over and over again. The following error message id 10071 from the software distribution component is in the advertisment status messages "The program for advertisement "SMS2000A" ("SMS0000C" - "Typical") could not be monitored. Systems Management Server has assumed this program failed and will attempt to run the program again.
Possible cause: There is not enough memory available on the client to monitor this program."

I am also using the microsoft patching utility which is working fine on the same PC's so I doubt it is a memory problem.

Any Help \ directions I should look at would be most welcome

Thanks

Simeon
