Now a days many companies provide software on a CD, for MAC and Windows platform. I would like to know is Windows based CD is compatible with MAC or vice versa? If they are not compatible then how it can be read on both platforms?
Thanks,
Hardware guy

CD's use the CDFS format and both Windows and MAC can read it.

The formatting of the files is different between Mac and PC therefore they won't be seen unless accessed by the proper OS. Case in point is the Iomega software on CD or some Zip disks.
