Hi,
I was setting the repository to make a massive upgrade in all my clients after having installed 7.5 SP1 from 7.4 SP5.
My server is Linux RHEL 5.3 x86_64 and I didn't find any problem with linux, solaris and win x86 clients, but win_x64 did.
Since it is a cross platform (Linux versus Windows) I chose a Windows 2008 64bit machine to take out the software, but it seems in Windows 2008 there are many restrictions with the permissions in TEMP and TMP SYSTEM's user flders.
According to the manual:
---
Write permissions for the Administrator and SYSTEM users to the temp folders defined in the SYSTEM user's TEMP and TMP environment variables.
Note: Enabling these write permissions is only a requirement on a Windows 2008 client.
Write permissions must be enabled when performing software updates, add to repository operations, and inventory operations using the Software Administration Wizard or the
nsrpush CLI.
---
So finally:
Workaround: take out the software from a WK3 machine. I thought the clien had to have the same version.
Any idea?
Thanks!
