when windows is shut down, the softpower never shuts the computer down. hard drive stops spinning but the hardware never shuts down. this started happening after i installed my iomega zipcd. windows will shut down to a blank screen with a blinking curser, sometimes it will just stay at the windows 2000 blue and the curser. any ideas guys?

Check and see if there is a program that you installed for the cd that is doing something in the background. Also a open gl screen saver will prevent proper shut down on some systems.
