Softphone

I have an account we recently took over with an IPO 500 running 4.1
They are asking about getting a softphone, is that still available for a system that old, or do I need to upgrade them to 8.1 and use one of the new licenses?
They do not have any licenses for softphones in their existing system.

You could just get a SIP licence, no? Then install a softphone like Bria/Counterpath/Xlite or Zoiper.

The Avaya SIP Softphone is a Bria branded version so go for that. And upgrading to 8.1 is not a bad idea at all.
