Greetings everyone - I have a user that is using a cisco softphone v2.0.1.1. When he places calls to location a, he can hear them, but they can't her him. He has tried his plantronics cs50-usb wireless headset, an wired headset, and just a standard microphone, and nothing seems to work. On regular sets he can call location a and have a normal conversation.
It works with all of our other locations, inbound and outbound calls, etc. Any suggestions? Non of this makes sense to me, but its happening regardless! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a routing issue between his PC and Location A.

When he set this up did he go through the sound check wizard?

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies. For the routing post, I thought of that as well, but it works for every other location. He can hear them crystal clear though. If it was a routing issue, everyone should have the same problem, since all calls are routed through corporate call manager, then out to remote locations. For the sound check wizard, yes, that was the first thing that was done, and I did that myself!

The calls are signaled thru the CallManager but the voice packets go directly between devices. Ping from his PC to a remote phone to verify. His data network for some reason may not be routing to the remote A's phone network (assuming you have VLAN's set up)
