Softphone log in problem

I have two softphone users who were set up and working last week, who now both suddenly are faced with the same error message when trying to log in.
'Unable to log in - invalid user name and password'
I have set - and reset the password in the user fields, this made no difference.
When the clients go through configure - PBX they can see their names etc so their connection and VPN's etc seem fine... Must be something in the IPOffice but I can't see it...
Any idea's anyone - only suggestion from Avaya support is to delete the users and recreate them... Happy to do this but seems a little drastic and does not seem to address the problem or identify it properly.

sometimes deleting a user is really the solution
it is software and software always can go wrong by sending back to the ip office
try it with one user and see if it helps
 
Just reinstall the application and reconfigure the softphone/ip agent.
