Has anybody got a site where there are more than 1 softconsole in use. I have a site that when they park a call on slot 1 its not seen on park slot 1 of the other soft console but will be seen on the park slots of all Phone managers. I was running software 2.1(23). I escalated this and was advised to take it up to 2.1(24). which still did not fixed the problem. The only way around this was to configure all the park slots from 5 onwards (Park slots 5,6,7&8) which seems to fix the problem. But now they are experiencing the same problem again. My question is
Is this got anything to do with the high TFTP request coming from voicemail pro. and another thing all users in there source numbers have P and as much as I deleted them and reboot they still appear. any ideas?????

Hi

I have just installed a system with 2 x softconsole's plus 20 x phone manager pro and 30 x phone manager lite. I noticed that some times when a call is parked it would not show in all the onsole's park slots. I have updataed them all to the SC 2.1(7) and PM 2.1(8) the park now seems to work ok. But i still have a problem with the 2 console's not showing the same info. I.E if you type a group number in the serach on one it will show all info but on the over it will not show any. To get roun this hey keep having to shut them down and restart them. I have check both pc's and moved them onto the frount of the ipoffice lan but this has had no effect. Also today i noticed the one console with a 2030 handset dose not get cli on console screen but it comes on in the phone display the other console is used with a 2010 and this dose get cli on the console screen. I have poned for support they just told me todo a re-type it could be the config.
 
It seems we have a bug then. Also the customer claims that the softconsole freezes at least once a day. I am sure this is got something to do with TFTP traffic.

When it freezes is it the P.C. or just the softconsole application?

Do you see calls being displayed but unable to use the keyboard?



 
Guys,

I too have a site with 2 softconsoles, They are complaining of the busy lamp field not updating. They can still drag calls to the busy lamp field but it is not changing. All other functions of the softconsole are ok. Restarting the softconsole program clears the problem for a while. This can happen several times a day.

Any ideas anyone?

The PC freezes and they have to reboot the machine, The customer is convinced the soft console is causing this as the softconsole is the only application that has been installed. The PC has been fine before the install, the last time they rebooted the PC was 6 months ago
 
Upgrade your 406 to 2.1.248901 and see if that helps - sounds like you may be falling victim to the TFTP bug.

DOWNGRADE to V2.0(18) even 2.1(248901) suffers with the tftf bug
V2.1(27) & VM Pro V2.1.12 hopeful fix this issue but are still on field trial.
 
Depends on the locale IPGuru - I know you are still suffering under 2.1 in the UK, and I feel for you, but if you have DS phones and a locale of enu it is fine. I have had several sites afflicted with the TFTP bug, and upgrading them to 2.1.248901 solved it every time, zero problems since upgrade.

Our V2.1(248901) iste is more stable than plain 2.1(24) but does evetualy lock up (they are a verry heavy VM user, lots of call flows etc.)

Hopefully when I get back from Vegas Avaya will have a working version of software available
 
Make sure none of the operators stay with the status of an extension on his screen for a long time because the softconsole will make in this case 2 tftp requests a second.
I had a situation with 4 softconsoles were we had problems (8 requests / sec for only the softconsoles).
