Colby007 was refering to the actual iClarity service being hung. The way to clear that issue is by going to the proccesses in Task Manager and looking for proccess named "iClarity.exe" and stopping it.
If you have not followed the steps found below then you may have corrupted the install as I did. The steps I took to correct this were;
1) Uninstall the softconsole - reboot
2) Scrub the registry (regedit) search for all avaya and iclraity and delete. - reboot
It is imperitive that you start with original version of softconsole 1.5 not 1.5.3 or 1.5.4 those will come after...
1) Install the original version of softconsole (normally the one shipped from Avaya 1.5)
2) Reboot
3) Install the 1.5.3 version (you can just run the .exe)
4) Reboot
5) Install the 1.5.4 version
6) Reboot
Once you run thru the wizard it should now let you download and log into the switch
