Soft reset on ViewSonic 1

I have a ViewSonic V37 (pretty much identical to the V35) and was just wondering how to soft reset it. There is a little hole in the side that you poke something tiny into that re-boots it, but is that a soft reset? Seems more like a hard reset to me. The maunal only talks about this type of reset but doesn't refer to it as hard or soft.

If you do not already have an answer...

Here it is. Look at solution 1 on how to soft reset. A soft reset does a 're-boot' without dumping your data. Cleans out the RAM and any program that might be taking up memory space.

Aha, OK, that's what I was already doing. I assumed it was a hard reset and thought that there might be a simpler way of doing a soft reset; I guess that a hard reset is where you turn the battery off and restore it to factory condition.
