What is the max number of sockets can one use in Win95 and 98? I thought it was 100 (default). Is there any way to increase the number of sockets? And does this stand true for Windows 2000 the max. number is 100?

                       Any help would be appreciated,

                                             John Stephens

Sockets (API logical connections)are resources of a particular operating system. Unfortunatley, due to the limitations of Win95 & 98, 100 sockets are the most you're going to get. With regards to Win2K, I haven't had an opportunity to fully investigate this. I do know, however, that you can get up to 570 with N.T. 4.0.

Hope this helps?
