Hi,
I have created a chat. Everithing is Ok, but while I disable java plugin for InternetExplorer and use Microsoft JVM I can not create the socket. All other things runs normally. In my opinion there is some security problem, but how can I avoid it? Ion Filipski

Is there an Exception thrown? What is it?

Yes it is. If I disable any Java Virtual Machines except MicrosoftJVM is get SecurityException a when trying to create a Socket. In Java1.2.2 I get just Exception. Ion Filipski

are you connecting to the page origin domain?

I think cross domain connections are not allowed.

Both, client and server on the local machine. If it would be such problem application would not work under SUN JVM, but it works using java 1.3 or higher. Code is compilled under Java1.2. Anyway, what can I do? Ion Filipski
