NETBACKUP 5 mp6
Hi folks, heres one I am trying to figure out. I am looking at the details of a duplication failure "Status 191: no images were successfully processed". Within the details box some of the lines read: Warning bpdm(pid=2640) socket option SO_REUSEADDR failed, errno = 2, No such file or directory.
Since this error, there have been many other successful duplications, so things seem to be in order. I want to try and make sure that I am not overlooking signs of new problems / failures. I can delete the reference to this failed duplication and hope I dont see it again, or try to become familiar with what it means before it happens again......Any info or suggestions are always much appreciated. 10Q Jay

This seems to be a harmless error

exerpt below:
Etrack Incident = ET528354

Description:
After applying NetBackup 5.1 MP4 the problems report showed
"SO_REUSEADDR failed, errno = 0, No error".

Additional Notes:
This error is harmless. It is caused because with 5.1 MP4, listening
sockets use SO_EXCLUSIVEADDRUSE. The socket options SO_EXCLUSIVEADDRUSE
and SO_REUSEADDR are mutually exclusive. Because SO_EXCLUSIVEADDRUSE is
set, Windows fails to set SO_REUSEADDR and that is harmless.
