ok so i have the following things i want to report on:

First row

Column a-project Column b-h -Project Tasks
row 1 Project# dates due


Should i arrange it like this instead:
column A-tasks Column B dates due ColumnC- project#

i want to display a graph to show what dates are showing a lot of projects due so i can determine how to shift things.

For a chart as you describe I would go for your 2nd option
