Hi All,
I have a weird situation with Snow Leopard (10.6)and Microsoft Office related to saving files on a Windows2003 Server Network Share. Here is a description:
* I save a file to the Snow Leopard desktop.
* I drag the file to the windows share (Example: //servername/users/username
* I can open the file from that location.
(Here is the problem)
* When I attempt to modify the file by adding information I can, but when I click save I get the following error:
Microsoft Excel cannot access the file "filename".
* the file name or path name does not exist
* The file you are trying to open is being used by another program
* the name of the workbook you're trying to save is the same of another document that is -read-only. Try saving with a different name.
If I do the same functions on another MAC that does not have snow leopard (10.5) I have no issues saving the document and then added data to the document. But if I open this same file from the snow leopard I get the same message as above.
Any thoughts?
Thx
