I am attempting to implement DMI on all our SUN Server (Large Storage Company).
When I try to start the snmpXdmid daemon it cannot register with the snmpdm
daemon. When I turn on debugging I get:

Attempting connection to local agent.
Attempting connection to local agent.
Attempting connection to local agent.

Unable to connect to snmpdx

The dmispd daemon, which snmpXdmid also must register with, gives the following
when I start snmpXdmid:

read config file /etc/dmi/conf/dmispd.conf DBDIR = /var/dmi/db M/var/dmi/mif Init
ComponentId :

the row of table 2 of comp 1 exists!
the row of table 3 of comp 1 exists!
the row of table 2 of comp 1 exists!
the row of table 3 of comp 1 exists!

The log file for snmpdx (which is a subagent of snmpdm) does not show any activity
when I start snmpXdmid.

Has anyone seen and fixed this before? Is there a patch I need?
