Hi All,

I'm somewhat of a newbie but have been able to get net-snmp successfully installed on several different machines. The problem I'm running into now is:

1. 'service snmpd restart'
a. Shutdown fails
b. Starts successfully
2. 'service snmpd status'
a. snmpd dead but pid file exists
3. I removed the .pid file and /var/lock/subsys/snmp and tried restarting snmpd but I run into the same issue.

Can anyone give me some pointers?

Thanks so much in advance.
