I have a couple of Solaris machines, SunOS 5.7, with snmpd enabled. read community=public and read/write=private. for security reasons I want this disabled.
How do I do that?

Which startup-file should I edit to make the snmp Deamon disappear? /Sören

/etc/rc3.d/S76snmpdx stop # to stop it
mv /etc/rc3.d/S76snmpdx /etc/rc3.d/no_S76snmpdx #for the next reboot

regards
