I have this OID

enterprises.11.2.3.9.4.2.1.4.1.10.1.1.18.1.0

This is the OID for a HP printer to get % of toner remaining.

When I am using Net::SNMP... This is the error I get

ERROR: SNMP Error: The OBJECT IDENTIFIER value "enterprises.11.2.3.9.4.2.1.4.1.10.1.1.18.1.0" is expected in dotted decimal notation

I can't find a dotted decimal notation for this OID.

If I use an OID like 1.3.6.1.2.1.43.16.5.1.2.1.1 <-- message the printer is displaying..

It works great!

Any ideas or help.

Thanks

THe oid shouldn't have any text in it. You could do a SNMP walk on the device and have it return everything back to you and find your oid that way.

I might be wrong but enterprises I thought was a reserved label numerically represented as "1.3.6.4.1". Therefore I expect the full OID would be "1.3.6.4.1.11.2.3.9.4.2.1.4.1.10.1.1.18.1.0".
Cheers,
