I have set up snmp traps on 6509. It shows that it has sent 771 traps since I have set it up. I am unable to set up a server to recieve these traps. Is there a simple way to see what these traps are saying? I am using server 2003 or windows 7. I appreciate any help

I have never set up a windows system to receive SNMP traps. I have always been in a position to use the designated devices designed for this purpose like:-

Openview
SolarWinds
WUG
Nagios

Etc

Yes, I use Solarwinds. Have used Kiwi Syslog before too.

When I'm working on something, I give it my laptop IP address as its syslog server, fire up syslog on my laptop, and keep an eye on the syslog messages while I do whatever I'm doing.
