Running IOS 12.3(8)T7 on a Cisco 1751-V. I would like to monitor the on-hook / off-hook status of four voice-ports (FXO). I've had success utilizing snmpget and the OID for the cvaIfFXOHookStatus variable (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.62.1.3.2.1.1.x with x being the interface number).
However, I would like to have the router send an SNMP trap when the FXO on-hook status changes instead of constantly polling. Is it possible to this?
I'm using MRTG for many functions throughout our network, but would like to be able to provide the real-time status of the voice ports at any given time. Thanks in advance for any insight!
