I have two sites connected with a vpn on two PIX 501's. I would like to be able to poll the remote PIX using SNMP from a host on the private side of the local PIX. I have followed the procedure at but I cannot get it to work. My configuration is identical to the example with only different IP addresses. One item of note is that the remote is running 6.1 and the local is running 6.3. I want to see if there is a reason that it might work other than the different firmware. I don't get any errors, just timeout.
