Hey everybody,
I just downloaded a software package called Monitor-IT. It's very cool especially for the price. One problem I'm having is that when I monitor linkup and linkdown it's ofcourse showing all ports on my switch (Cisco Catalyst 2950G). I would like to see just when my fiber links go down. Should the specification be made in the NMS software or is there a way to specify which traps to send at the switch level. I found a way for switches running CatOS but I couldn't find one for IOS. Thanks for your help!

you have to set on the interface..

no snmp-trap link status or someting similar

try:
conf t
int range fa0/1 - 48
no snmp trap link-status
end

I love the "int range" command I recently discovered. It saves a WHOLE LOT of typing :).
