Hi,

I have these snmp-server config lines here,

snmp-server host 10.10.10.1 informs
or
snmp-server host 10.10.10.1 traps
or
snmp-server host 10.10.10.1 version

where is the difference between informs and traps?
if I choose to select version, will it display both information and traps (whatever the differences are)?

Thanks in advance!

A trap is from SNMP v1. It's an unacknowledged message from a client to a server. Informs were added in SNMP v2C. They're simply an acknowledged form of trap because the server sends an acknowledgement back to the sending station to let it know that it received the message.
