Anyone tell me if it's possible to have OV send an SNMP event to another management system when certain critical events are received?
(And if-so ... how)
Our application is that we need our Midrange (UNIX) OV management system to send a single-string text event to the UNIX partition (OPS/USS) then to our OPS/MVS system where we process these events and raise problem tickets in our SOLVE problem management system.
We already do this from the Wintel environment where NetIQ receives the alerts and compiles the SNMP event which it then sends to the mainframe.
Have searched the web (incl. this forum) but can't find anything on achieving this.
