Hi Everyone,

I have a few questions which some of you might be able help...

I have a case scenario where I have to moniror customer usage for an ISP, this ISP
provides a SLA which limits users to a certain amount of download traffic per month.

Using SNMP, which is the best way to monitor users monthly usage?
Can I also track a routers overall uptime percentage over a month?
Can I also track the numbers of customers connected to the internet at one time?
Also can I track each individual interface if they are up or down?

Thanks to all.

David.

Yes to all, depending on your setup. Something as simple as RRDTool (try NMIS or Cacti), or something higher-end like CiscoWorks should do what you need.
