we implemented veritas ene. it works when it works. how's that.
really though, it was something that veritas created years back and have pretty much stopped adding to it. it was a consulting engagement installation that we had purchased when we first got netbackup 3.4 but didn't have it installed until earlier this year. the mibs are old (that veritas provided at the time of installation) and the software itself is very sensitive.
It's also very difficult to get any support from Veritas. Right now we are just letting it run until 6.0 comes out. We have been told that snmp has been integrated in to 6.0. But we don't know how it will work.
