I am trying to do an SNMPget and SNMPset on a Solaris server, but getting a "variable does not exist or access is denied" message for any variable below "private" in the MIB. Get the same for "experimental", "security" and "snmpV2", but not "directory" or "mgmt".

The Solaris server is running snmpdx, and I can't find much information about it.

Anyone know what additional configuration I need to do ?

Could you please give us more details ?

Are u using Private MIB 's ?
Are u using default SNMP ports ?

Which Solaris OS version are u using ?

Thanks

Naveen
