SNMP - Disable or not to disable

I have about 10 - 15 printers on my network, some have Axis print servers and some have HP JetDirect print servers.

I'm contemplating disabling SNMP across the board on these devices but not sure what impact it would have on printing, if any. Obviously this is a small network and I'm not currently using SNMP management tools in the event that I need it one day I could easily turn it back on....

What are the "gotchas" of disabling SNMP.

I have a NT 4.0 print server managing about 8 of these printers the others are either direct IP printing or managed by another server from another location.
