The Access Agent receives Alarm Information from the MD110 via IPU/NIU and sends it to the HP OpenView Manager.
Information required regarding translation between an MD110 Alarm Code from MD110 and the OID (Object Identifier)code sent to HP Openview. Does each Alarm Code have a seperate OID. Does a list of OID's exist to identify an alarm when referring to the OID number.

Hi,
you normally nead to load a MIB (management information base) file into HPOV. The MIB file is device specific to the MD110 in this case. You should be able to get this from your maintainer.

Regards

There isn't a corrispondence between alarm code and OID inside trap. There's a relation between alarm class and OID. Each alarm class has a separate OID in the MIB. If you have the MIB file you can see how are divided into it.
