If I let reports go, no reports are announced.

Data are existing in the database. I have this checked over "Show Data Availability".

I suspect a problem with Crystal Report and ActiveX.

This problem appears since the last MS OFFICE2000 update.

Who can help me?

Hi RSU,
Are you using Siffer Pro (Portable) or Distributed?

With regard to your problem, I do recommend installing the new version of Sniffer Reporter v4.2 if you are using Pro (don't if using Distributed!!). If using Distributed do a uninstall and re-install of console software.

For general reference;
For either version you need to have the "reporter Agent" started;
1. For Pro - you need to select "Reporter Agent" from Start, Progs etc, this will then allow reporter to access the data.
2. For Distributed - the agent is a application not a service, so it is recommended to "RemoteHTTPenable" to AutoLogin the units.

For both versions you need to set up the Data you want to collect. This is configured from the Sniffer GUI by selecting "Database", "Options" and "checking" the data types and time intervals you require.
For distributed you also need to go to the remote configuration and select the "database" option within the config tab for each interface (card).

Just share some resolution I experience.
Probably, check your csv files and date/time format of your system is the same.
Also when generating a report, look at date/time range you select.

I have the problem also with the Sniffer Distributed reporter version 4.20.26.
This also doesn't run.

I have installed MS Office 2000 newly. Sniffer Pro Reporter deinstalled, Sniffer Distributed Console V 4.2
deinstalled and newly then installed. Hasn't helped, however.

Data are available in the database. Check with "Show Data Availability".

"Run Report" works fine with "Output: Printer und Export".

"Output Screen" doesn't work only. I get no report shown.

I see the sand-glass, that for a while the reporter calculates in the background.
Then the sand-glass is gone and I don't see any report. Nothing more simply happens.

As said update still has everything works in front of the MS Office 2000.

Hi,
Have you installed Sniffer Reporter v4.x for Sniffer Pro, on the same machine as the console software!?!
From exprience this causes neither to work. You can only have one version of the reporter software installed (either reporter v4.2 for Sniffer Pro, or sniffer pro and console), hence the earlier comment of not installing reporter if you are using the console software.
To get around this you'll going to have to do a manual un-install, remove all sniffer progs (add/remove progs), remove program files, and then remove the Network Ass Inc Registry Keys. See manual for complete instructions. Then install 2 of the 3 progs!!!

Hallo,

I have deinstalled all Sniffer applications, also the program files and the Registry entries.

I have then installed only the Sniffer Distributed Console.

The problem has remained.

Data are existing in the database of the Sniffer Distributed Agents (show data Availability), they aren't shown at the report on the screen.

The report versions as export and printer works fine.

I experienced problem with reporter.
In case, it generated a report but without graphical chart (only tabular data appeared but no chart). I found that some program installed later (than Sniffer) replaced some crystal report dll file, e.g. craxdrt.dll, with a new one.
To restore it with original version just helps.
So newer component (dll) might not be compatible, I thought.
