Sniffer Pro 3.0 OS compatability

I have a distributed Sniffer Pro. I have a chance to get Sniffer Portable 3.0 on ebay. Which OS will it run with. What is the first version to support Win 2K...Thanks

I'm almost positive Sniffer 4.0 was the first to support Win2k. Sniffer 3.x may run under Win2k, but I do not believe the enhanced drivers will work. Sr. Network Engineer

Supports Microsoft Windows NT Workstation and Server 4.0, Windows 95 and 98.

I'd think twice since NAI may not support you since you bought it from someone else. Do you also get a grant #?

Under the current licenses of NAI it is as far as i know not legal to sell your Sniffer software to sombody else.
So you won't get any support and absolutly no GRantnumber will be given by NAI.

There is probably a difference whit EOL software such as the DOS Sniffer, but not the windows Sniffer.

The first version to officially support W2K is 4.5
The first WLAN vesion is 4.6
The first official intergrated WLAN + LAN is 4.7
The first verison for XP is 4.7.5.
