trying to trouble shoot appliaction user slow response issue, where there is one Virtual IP and 4 web servers running slb, servers connection on the cisco 6500 are set to 100 full duplex. The servers are set up for auto, could this be a problem. Don't see any duplex mis match errors on switch log

Autonegotiation can always be a problem. It's best if your network is set manually to the same settings if you don't have mixed protocols.

Thanks for the info. Is there any other words of wisdom besides this, after we hard code it on the server side.

You cannot have the Cisco side hardcoded to 100/full and the servers set as auto , this is a speed/duplex mismatch and will slow things down a lot . This will cause errors on one side or the other . Set both either as auto/auto or hardcode both sides to 100/full .
