Hi together,
I have problems to run my sniffer 4.5 under win 2000 with a madge card (pcmcia) . I configure the drivers from the nai directory. no chance . when i start the sniffer i can select the madge card. But after the selection a error message is occur. What means "You cant install more than on network adapter".
But in this situation the token ring card is my only one.
If anybody outthere who can help me out .

Thanks in advance

Jörg

Hi,
There is a known problem with installing the Madge Smart 16/4 PCMCIA Token Ring adapter on 2000 machines with Sniffer Pro v4.5. If you can't use the NAI drivers (which sometimes happens), make sure that in the "advanced" tab of the driver's configuration, that promiscous mode is set to "enable". This will enable you to use your card with Sniffer.
P.S. the new version of Sniffer Portable is v4.7.

Hello,

Thank you very much for the hint with the promiscous Mode.
It works.

Greetings
