I also can't get explorer to show normal files only the trees. I tried HKEY-CURRENT-USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer and the only thing I find under the Explorer there is: Cabinet State; Desk View; New shortcut; Handle Recent Docs, Run MRU, Shell Folders; Stream MRU; Streams & under that: 0 then 1; Stuck Rects Tips; Usershall Folders; Tips; Usershall Folders; GRP CONV; MAP GRPS; Internet Settings; Multimedia; Midi Map; Video for Windows; MCIAVI; Policies; and Explorer - but under all those I did not find DirectoryColsX binary value. I even searched through Find under that area and it still didn't find it. Where is it hidden under???? Where else can I look? I don't know how else to fix Explorer for the full files.
