SNBC btp-2002np Printer with Aloha POS 1

We purchased several BTP-2002NP printers to use with Aloha 6.1 and when we print checks they show allot of question marks. Some of the text is correct but about 50% is ??????

It was my impression that this print device is supposed to work on the Epson TM-88 setting in Aloha. We are using the RS-232 version connector.

Please help.

Run a self test on them and check the settings. Usually done by holding down the feed button and turning on the power.

Check the pinout of your rs232 cable should be

rj side db25 side

The solution was to set-up the snbc printer by using the the power button to program it. The new printers have no jumpers. I didn't see this in the instructions. All is well now. Thanks to everyone that replied.
